From Corporate Leadership to Dubai Real Estate: My Story
After more than 20 years in corporate leadership, I’m stepping into a new chapter — Dubai real estate.
This is not a dramatic career switch. It’s an evolution. And it started long before boardrooms, titles and strategy presentations. It began in a South Indian Muslim household in the Middle East, where choosing education and ambition meant pushing against what was expected.
Where the Journey Really Started
I didn’t begin in a corporate office.
I started in a warehouse in Jebel Ali.
From that warehouse floor, I moved through different roles, across departments and MNCs, until I eventually built a two-decade career with adidas Emerging Markets — leading teams, driving operations, managing new markets and learning more from people than from any textbook.
What I Learnt — And What Stayed With Me
No matter the role or region, one truth stayed constant:
Success has always been about people.
Teams perform when they are trusted.
Change happens when people believe in what they’re doing.
Results follow when relationships are genuine.
My work was never just about numbers, budgets or presentations. It was about people — their motivations, their fears, their effort, and their progress. That’s where I discovered my real strength.
Why Real Estate?
People often ask me why I moved into real estate.
Because for me, real estate is still about people.
A home is not a transaction. It’s a decision shaped by trust, clarity, family, fear, aspiration and legacy.
An investment is not a number. It’s someone’s effort, dreams, converted into something real.
What I did in corporate — leadership, structure, negotiation, empathy, communication — all of it comes with me into this industry. That’s why I don’t see this as a career change. It’s an evolution, a continuation if you will.
Why Dubai?
I believe in this city. In the 25 years, that I have been here, it has given me every reason to. As a resident, as an investor, as an employee.
Dubai is built on the idea that where you begin does not decide where you end up. It rewards effort, not entitlement. It gives opportunity — but never without expectation.
This is the place that gave me a platform. And now, it’s where I want to help others find theirs — whether it’s a home, an investment, or a foundation for their family’s future.
How I Approach Real Estate
I don’t sell property. I guide decisions.
My focus is:
-
People before property
-
Trust before transaction
-
Long-term relationships over one-time deals
-
Clarity, not pressure
Whether it’s a family looking for their first home or an investor building a portfolio, the responsibility is the same — to guide with honesty and intelligence.
What Comes Next
So here I am — not starting over, but carrying everything forward.
From warehouses to boardrooms to living rooms.
From managing teams to advising families.
From corporate metrics to personal milestones.
I’m excited to see where this next chapter leads.
And if your journey involves Dubai — a home, an investment, or a dream you’re building here — I’d be honoured to be a part of it.
